Our Practice

We are a very unique endodontic and implant specialty practice. The cornerstone of our practice is the surgical microscope. This tool is what sets the standard for excellence and it is the surgical microscope that enables us to achieve results very rarely seen in our field.

Sensitive to the needs of our patients, we have created a peaceful environment, with a calming aesthetic appeal, which serves as the framework of our practice. Inside that framework is a serious work ethic with a vision based on maximizing potential for long-term success. Our team understands this philosophy of ethics and optimized performance and carries it forward from patient to patient. Through study, teaching and application, Dr. Anstey has refined the art and science of his specialty. Our vision of successful treatment outcome is based on our use of cutting-edge technology, equipment, knowledge and skill – the unique combination that eclipses into the continuous success rates seen after many years in our specialty.

It has always been my goal, since my days as a young practitioner, to be on the cutting edge, to acquire as much knowledge as possible relating to my field of expertise. This meant attending as many educational forums, conferences and lectures as possible in an attempt to gain wisdom and understanding that would ultimately help my patients in the diagnosis and treatment of their dental conditions. And so this quest continues, as I believe even as teachers and practitioners, we are always students in our respective fields…

Education of our patients is a key element of our practice philosophy. I view my patient as an integral part of our success team. It is more logical to create the sense that “we are in this together and we will achieve greater success that way” versus the classic approach of “I trust him, he is the doctor and he will take care of this.”

A patient generally has no idea what is being done in his/her mouth, which is a dangerous approach in this day and age. I prefer to be open, and show patients what we are doing every step of the way. Frankly, I am completely fascinated at what is achievable today in my field and I want my patients to feel that passion and fascination too!

Understanding the value of the treatment we offer our patients is a critical element of our philosophy. The focus is upon patient care, respect and treatment outcome which means no time constraints or treatment compromises exist. Our vision is set on long-term success… A goal we define with total clarity of thought.

 

Dr. Paul Anstey

Dr. Paul Anstey is a Diplomate of the American Board of Endodontics. He has lectured nationally and has served as a part-time faculty member and clinical lecturer at the UCLA School of Dentistry. He maintains a practice in Beverly Hills, California specializing in Micro-Endodontics and Implant Micro-Surgery.

Dr. Anstey completed his general dental training at the University of Stellenbosch, outside of Cape Town, South Africa in 1989. After six years in general practice, he went on to specialize in Endodontics and Microsurgery at the University of Southern California. Dr. Anstey further extended his studies in implantology at the University of California Los Angeles and then went on to the highest level of surgery with micro-surgical and micro-implantology training through the Academy of Microscope Enhanced Dentistry and the Microsurgery Training Institute.

His professional passion is to help improve the understanding across the dental specialties, as well as throughout the community, of what is realistically achievable, using the microscope and other technologies within the science of Micro-Endodontics and Implant Micro-Surgery today.
